Grammarly vs QuillBot: Compare Differences & Review (Image Prove)
QuillBot and Grammarly are two popular online language tools used extensively nowadays. After QuillBot introduced its grammar-checking feature a few months ago, I received a question from some friends: “QuillBot vs. Grammarly: Which tool is better at checking grammar?”

Comparing Grammar Checking Abilities of QuillBot and Grammarly
The following comparisons were based on the Grammarly premium account (paid) and QuillBot premium account (paid) as of October 2021.
As we know, QuillBot is a tool that helps paraphrase English texts without altering the original content of the text (known as spinning in content writing). QuillBot is favored by many users for its stability, user-friendliness, good text “reconstruction,” and especially its affordable pricing.
In a previous post, I updated you about QuillBot’s new feature of checking English grammar.
Today, I will compare which tool checks English grammar better.
You may have drawn your conclusion if you have used both of these tools before.
Below, I will share my personal experience and evaluation.
Personal evaluation
Grammarly is better than QuillBot in terms of checking English grammar.
Reason: QuillBot’s grammar-checking feature is relatively new, so no matter how few or many features it has, subjectively evaluating it “cannot match” a long-standing tool like Grammarly.
Suppose QuillBot continues to invest in this feature for 1, 2, or 3… years. In that case, there may be some similarities (50/50) in effectiveness, but surpassing Grammarly in quality would be difficult and require more time.
Considering the scope of checking English grammar in texts, these two tools can be regarded as competitors, and the tool that continuously improves has more substantial financial capabilities, invests more, and has more significant partners will emerge victorious.
Real-life comparison of English text checking results
Below, I will compare these two tools’ grammar-checking abilities using three texts: a news article, an academic text, and a literary text.

QuillBot vs. Grammarly: Grammarly is better
As you can see, in the default mode for all users, Grammarly provides more grammar-checking suggestions for the text (2 out of 3 texts) compared to QuillBot. Additionally, Grammarly has a more detailed analysis of syntax errors and offers more tips.
Therefore, in terms of English text grammar checking, Grammarly is undoubtedly superior to QuillBot at the current time.

Furthermore, Grammarly offers more grammar editing options, allows you to set your writing style, and provides weekly usage reports (detailed statistics of your usage) to let you know which writing style suits you better, common mistakes you make, and many other metrics.
Conclusion: Currently, Grammarly has better English grammar-checking capabilities than QuillBot (and performs better in plagiarism detection).
