How to Use Grammarly Premium for Free on Chrome Mac MSWord
To check the spelling and grammar of an English text, there are now many online tools available. One of the best tools to mention is Grammarly.

For content writers, whether they have been studying for a long time or are new to learning, ensuring proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation in English writing is not an easy task. If you are attending classes, you can ask your teacher to proofread your work, but what if you are studying on your own at home? In that case, detecting and correcting errors can be quite challenging, right? That’s where Grammarly comes in handy.
(This is a quick guide to using Grammarly on various platforms. I have written a detailed series on using Grammarly on this blog).
What is Grammarly?
Grammarly is a tool for checking English spelling errors, including grammar, vocabulary, subject-verb agreement, punctuation, and even the level of plagiarism (meaning the duplication of your writing with previously published articles).
You can use Grammarly directly in your browser, on MS Word, MS Outlook, and on your phone. Therefore, no matter where you go or what you do, Grammarly can help you write English correctly and effectively.
Should you use Grammarly Premium?
Although you can still use a free Grammarly account to check the spelling of your articles, the free version has limitations in terms of the number of errors it detects, as well as specific details about those errors and how to correct them, which are available in the premium version.
Therefore, to have a better and more comprehensive English article checking experience, I still recommend using the premium version of Grammarly for the best experience. In this article, I will skip the instructions for using the free version of Grammarly and focus on the in-depth guide to the premium version with all its features.

Step 1: After logging in to Grammarly, click on the “Apps” section on the left side of the screen to access Grammarly’s settings interface. When you see “Grammarly for Chrome,” click on “install” to add this extension to your browser. Alternatively, you can directly download it from this link: Chrome Extension Grammarly.

Step 2: Once the Grammarly extension for Chrome is installed, click on the Grammarly icon and then click “Log in” to sign in to your account. (If you don’t have an account, you can click “Sign up” to register.)
Step 3: After logging in, click on the Grammarly icon. At this point, you will see options such as:

Make sure to enable all these features. In particular, to activate the “Check for writing suggestions on Google Docs” feature, you need to open the Google Docs interface first, then click on the Grammarly extension icon to select it.
Next is the line “I write in,” where you have four options depending on the English writing style you prefer: British English, American English, Canadian English, or Australian English.

After that, you can click on the “New document” line, and another interface will open where you can start writing or copy and paste your existing text for checking.
Step 4: In addition to writing directly on the interface, if you want to check text from a Word file on your computer, you can click on the icon on the left side of the screen, select “upload file,” and upload the document.

Step 5: After pasting the text, Grammarly will instantly check and display the errors you have, as well as suggest possible corrections. For example, in the example below, there are a total of 24 errors and an assessment by Hide Assistant regarding the quality of the article.

Step 6: If you want to fix a particular part, simply click on the word suggested by Grammarly for correction. For instance, if I want to fix the punctuation error in the word “in,” I click on it and Grammarly’s suggested correction will be added to the article.
Continue this process, and you will have a complete article. If you want to download the article, click on the Menu, then click on “download.”
